Dublin Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 37.5–39 hours per week Responsibilities Support the delivery of high-quality, holistic care that upholds each resident’s dignity and equality. Perform delegated care tasks and assist with all activities of daily living, including washing, toileting, dressing, dining, social engagement, conversation, and communication support. Maintain each resident’s privacy and dignity while encouraging their independence. Provide focused assistance to residents with reduced mobility. Follow individual care plans, stay informed about residents’ needs, and report any physical or mental changes to nursing staff immediately. Immediately report any incident or potential risk that could affect the health or safety of residents or visitors. Help ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents and their families or representatives. Support and enhance the quality of resident activities and events. Requirements The ideal Healthcare Assistant will have 1+ years of experience in elder care; however, candidates interested in starting a new career in healthcare are also encouraged to apply. QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (completed or in progress) or a relevant Nursing/Allied Health degree is desirable, but not essential. Fully funded QQI Level 5 training is available for successful candidates. Ability to successfully pass Garda Clearance. Must provide suitable character references.
