We are hiring an Anaesthetic / ICU Registrar for our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Job type: Fixed Term / Full-time Responsibilities Work under the supervision of the Daily Duty Intensivist/Anaesthetist to deliver high-quality Intensive Care services and support clinical duties. Attend the Critical Care Unit at 07:00 and/or 19:00 to liaise with the Nurse Manager or Nurse in Charge. Receive detailed handover from the previous shift Registrar to ensure continuity of care, timely decision-making, and appropriate documentation of orders. Regularly review patients in the Critical Care Unit in line with the agreed care plan and promptly escalate concerns to the Consultant. Maintain accurate, timely, and legible clinical documentation of all patient assessments and interventions. Respond effectively to emergencies, either managing them directly or enabling the Consultant to do so without delay. Act promptly in adverse situations (e.g., patient injuries, falls, or sudden illnesses) involving patients, visitors, or staff. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and policy development to uphold best practices in Anaesthesia and Critical Care. Support the education and training of Critical Care staff and actively participate in hospital-based projects. Uphold professional standards at all times, comply with hospital policies (including JCI, infection control, and safety regulations), and assist colleagues across the hospital as required. Requirements MCAI, FCAI, MRCP, MRCS, or equivalent qualification is required. Current full registration with the Irish Medical Council is essential. Membership of the College of Anaesthetists is desirable. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Anaesthetic Registrar in an acute hospital setting. Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required. Valid PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
